Specialist in Stomatology by the Hospitals of the University of Coimbra (CHUC), and by the Medical Association (OM), in 1994.
Voluntary Clinical Internship at the Maxillofacial Surgery Service of CHUC from 1994 to 1999.
He attended the ITI Implantology Course (DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM) at the Dr.Josep Divi Pujol Implantology Center, in Barcelona, in 1999.
Attended the V Master in Implantology, in Madrid, in 2000.
Guest Assistant of Dental Medicine, Department of Dentistry, Stomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery at FMUC, from 2001 to 2008.
Member of the Final Evaluation Examination Jury of Complementary Internship in Stomatology (Single Title), appointed by the College of Stomatology Specialty of the Medical Association, Hospital de São José, in Lisbon, on 15 July 2002.
Founding Member of the PORTUGUESE ACADEMY OF ORAL MEDICINE, since 1991.
Founding Member of SOCIEDADE PORTUGUESA DE CIRURGIA ORAL, since 1999.
Member of the Governing Bodies of the PORTUGUESE SOCIETY OF STOMATOLOGY AND DENTAL MEDICINE, since 2001.
Fellow of the EUROPEAN BOARD OF ORAL SURGERY-EUROPEAN FEDERATION OF ORAL SURGERY SOCIETS (E.F.O.S.S.), in Luxembourg, on 23 October 2002.
